  1. Unconscious incompetence – “I don’t know what I don’t know. I am completely ignorant about this subject or skill.”
  2. Conscious incompetence – “I know that I need to learn this subject and develop this skill, but I don’t know how to do it. Someone needs to show me.”
  3. Conscious competence – “I know what to do, I’m not great at it yet, but with a lot of concentration, attention and focused effort on my part, I can perform this skill. But, I’m just okay at it.”
  4. Unconscious competence – “I know this skill well and can do this task     consistently with a high level of competence.”
