Active listening is listening not just to what someone else is saying, but it’s listening with both your heart and your head. When you actively listen, you also listing between the lines to try and figure out why that person might be feeling the way the feeling at that moment.

Everyone has their own unique insights, experiences, and perspectives on different subjects, so by actively listening with both your heart and your head during your meetings, telephone calls, and conversations, you’ll be able to get a much better understanding of where your colleague or customer is coming from.
